That’s right, Deschutes Mirror Pond American Pale Ale is back by popular demand and is our Beer of the Week again, on draft, this week at R!

“Since 1988, this refreshingly uncomplicated ale has inspired the simple moments that become extraordinary when shared. Crisp and clean with subtle hints of caramel, Mirror Pond is a delicious everyday ale whose straightforward single-hop character and smooth maltiness combine to deliver a timeless pale ale that’s best served in the moment and paired with a few good friends.”

“Clear orange body; thick, sculpted head. Light scents of light malt grains and subtle esters. The taste follows along with the aroma, a bit fruitier, plus some fine hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; relatively slick on the tongue.”

Deschutes Mirror Pond American Pale Ale

“A really enjoyable west coast pale ale. Beautiful to look at. Dry hop flavours are bold but don’t overwhelm the sweet malt base. The 5% ABV is exceptional in such a smooth, flavourful, hop-forward brew.”

“Taste of the Cascade hops is prominent. Balanced nicely with the malt.
Great beer for hop lovers. Definitely a go to pale ale.”

“A fine beer to say the least. Pours a bright copper. Thick, foamy white head. Some lacing remains at the top of the glass. Aroma is floral hops with a banana like yeast. Taste is very similar, with a bit of citrus. Feel is medium bodied, light medium carbonation. Overall, lots of flavor for the style – especially if you’re a fan of cascade hops.”
