90 Shilling Ale – RBar’s Beer of the Week

90 Shilling Ale

90 Shilling Ale is RBar’s Beer of the Week!

This weeks Beer of the Week is a tasty little number from Odell Brewing Company based in Colorado, the delightful 90 Shilling Ale, and it is available on draft this week only at a very nice discount!

90 Shilling, flagship beer from Odell Brewing Company, was introduced at their opening party in 1989. For a while, Odell Brewing Company had wondered what would happen if they lightened up a traditional Scottish ale? The result is an irresistibly smooth and delicious medium-bodied amber ale.

“Tastes nearly perfect for the style. Has notes of molasses, ginger spice. Malty and hoppy, but not overpowering in anything. Somewhat boozy, and very faintly sweet, if you feel around for it.”

“The taste is a smooth combination of malts, with hints of mango, citrus sweets, and bread. Mouth feel is great. Feels mouth coating and smooth. Very easy to drink. Overall, a great beer.”
